www.urssettlement.com – United Recovery System Class Lawsuit

URS Settlement

  • A recent class action lawsuit filed against United Recovery Systems alleges that URS violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act by having a “URS Number” and QR code available through the clear window of letters that were mailed to clients
  • Customers who received a debt collection notice from URS that had this information visible may be eligible to receive payment from this class action suit
  • URS denies any wrongdoing in this case, but has agreed to settle out of court to avoid having to pay for a lengthy court case

Any customer who got a debt notice in the mail from United Recovery Systems may be eligible to receive free compensation thanks to a new class action lawsuit. The URS lawsuit claims that sensitive customer information like Social Security number and date of birth could be accessed by a code that was visible in the envelope window. URS argues that no customer information could be found through that number, but has settled this case out of court anyway.

URS Settlement Comments

  • To be eligible to receive compensation from the URS class action lawsuit, customers will need to complete and submit a valid claim online or through the mail
  • Write to Ebner v. United Recovery Systems Claims Administrator, 1801 Market Street, Suite 660 Philadelphia, PA 19103
  • For any questions about the lawsuit via phone please dial (215) 364-5030

A final approval hearing in the class action lawsuit against URS will be held September 7, 2016, and if the judge approves the settlement (it’s expected to be easily approved), checks from URS will be mailed out to eligible claimants within two weeks. If people want to mail a claim in, the claim in the URS class action suit must be received by August 16, 2016.

How much will customers get from the URS lawsuit?

URS has agreed to pay a total of $500,000 in settlement funds, which will be distributed among all eligible claims, so the end total for each customer depends on how many claims are received.

www.myfreegasreward.com – Claim $50 Free Gas Reward Online

My Free Gas Reward

  • When customers use the My Free Gas Reward website to shop online and make a purchase from qualified merchants (over 400 different ones are available),  a 5% “Gas Back Reward” is credited to the customer’s account
  • Gas rewards from “My Free Gas Reward” can be redeemed once the customer hits $25.00 in their account. When customers redeem their gas reward, they simply choose the gas station (like Exxon, Shell, or BP), and they receive a gift card from that station
  • There is a limit of $50 that can be redeemed from My Free Gas Rewards at once

Shopping through the My Free Gas Reward portal doesn’t cost the customer anything extra, the customer just earns point for every purchase they make. Purchases must be made through the myfreegasreward.com portal, as going straight to the merchant’s web site won’t accumulate any gas rewards points. Merchants generally give commissions when a web site refers a shopper, and My Free Gas Rewards passes these commissions on to the shopper.

A sample of merchants available to shop from include Sears, Target, Macy’s, AutoZone, Omaha Steaks, Ace, and Travelocity. No more than one free gas rewards card can be redeemed every 6 months. My Free Gas Rewards is owned and operated by Exclusive Incentive Marketing Inc.

How long does it take to earn gas rewards points via My Free Gas Rewards?

  • Gas rewards points usually take about 90 days to credit because merchants don’t pay out commissions until the potential for the customer to return the item and receive a refund has passed

Once a valid purchase is made, it is usually credited the the customer’s gas rewards account within 90 days. Customers know points have been credited when a transaction moves from “pending” to “available” (which usually takes less than 6 weeks). Purchases usually show up as pending within 7 days.
