If you have a new wireless device from AT&T, you’ll need to activate it before you start using it. In most cases, this is done at the AT&T store. But if you purchase a new AT&T phone online and have it mailed to you, or you purchase your phone from an individual, you’ll need to logon yourself to activate it. Fortunately, the process of activating an AT&T phone is fairly simply, and only takes a few minutes to complete. To start the process of activating your new phone, you’ll just need to enter your phone number and you billing or shipping ZIP Code. If you have a prepaid Go Phone, the only thing you need to do is select what device you have. From there, you’ll be asked to enter your prepaid wireless number.
You can also activate a Go Phone tablet, mobile hotspot, or car connection via this website. It’s not limited to just actual GoPhone phones. The process for those devices is still the same, though. You’ll just need to enter the wireless phone number that’s associated with your account.
You will need to transfer your contacts, photos, videos, and other files before you activate your new device. The easiest way to do this is through the AT&T Mobile Transfer app. When you download this app, transferring everything on your phone can be done at the touch of a button.
