A major early sale brings the Google Pixel Watch 5 down to its lowest price yet, offering a 25 percent discount across multiple major retailers. Amazon, Best Buy, and the official Google Store are currently offering the deal, providing a substantial price cut for Android users looking to purchase the wearable.
Upgraded Performance and Features
WIRED reported that the Pixel Watch 5 features double the RAM and storage of its predecessor, alongside an upgraded Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 processor that delivers a 20 percent performance boost. The device sports a domed display that remains comfortable and readable during workouts while introducing advanced health and fitness tracking capabilities.
The new Strength Training experience offers a workout builder, audio cues, rest times, and the ability to track weights and reps. Users can build custom routines in the Google Health app or incorporate Gemini AI by generating workouts based on photos of gym equipment. Additionally, the watch supports offline Gemini tasks such as starting a workout.
Health Tracking and Battery Life
Google has integrated new Health Guardian tools to monitor blood pressure trends, insulin resistance trends, sleep breathing quality, and breathing emergencies in select countries, while retaining features like ECG, skin temperature tracking, and loss-of-pulse detection. The device also includes upgraded sleep tracking that offers 15 percent greater accuracy than the previous generation.
While Google estimates up to 40 hours of battery life, testing showed the device reaches approximately 36 hours before running out of power. However, fast charging delivers up to 15 hours of use from a 15-minute charge.
Originally priced at $400, the Pixel Watch 5 drops to $300 with the current discount, undercutting the latest Apple Watch Series 12 and other premium smartwatches. With this representing the lowest recorded price for the device, shoppers have little reason to delay their purchase until late November.
