Over 370,000 Dreo Space Heaters Recalled After 17 Catch Fire

Dreo has issued a recall for its DR-HSH015 space heater model due to the risk of the units catching fire. The recall affects over 370,000 devices sold in the United States and Canada.

Details of the Recalled Heater

The affected product is Dreo’s $100 model DR-HSH015, which is a 13-inch-tall, black ceramic electric heater that comes packaged with a remote control. Regulators pointed out that the issue specifically impacts units manufactured between April 2025 and January 2026. Consumers can confirm whether their device is included by checking the date stamped on the bottom of the heater.

The company reported receiving 17 complaints of space heaters igniting. These incidents resulted in three reports of property damage and one burn injury to a user’s hand.

Sales and Consumer Instructions

Dreo distributed more than 370,000 units across the US and Canada. The space heaters were sold through major retailers including Home Depot, Best Buy, Kohl’s, and Costco, with sales continuing as late as October 2026.

Consumers who own the recalled space heaters are advised to stop using them immediately and disconnect the units from the power source. Users should then destroy the devices by cutting off the power cable and reach out to the company to obtain a free replacement.
