Motorola Reveals Signature 27 Flagship Priced at $1,600

Motorola is launching a non-folding flagship phone to fill a gap in its United States lineup, though its hefty price tag places it near the company’s costly foldable tablets. The anticipated Motorola Signature 27 features premium specifications, a bright OLED display, and multiple cameras, launching later this month with a price of $1,600.

Design and Hardware Specifications

The Signature 27 marks a fresh direction for Motorola flagships, moving past the middle-tier Edge series while retaining recognizable design elements through its use of materials and Pantone colors. Built with a combination of metal, ceramic, and glass, the device features textured polycarbonate backs available in Coal Smoke black with an automotive-inspired tactical weave finish, or Capulet Olive green with a textile-inspired look.

Under the hood, the device runs on Qualcomm’s most powerful mobile processor, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. It comes equipped with 12GB of memory, matching base model flagships from Samsung, without an option for higher memory upgrades. Users will receive a standard storage capacity of 512GB.

Advanced Camera System

The smartphone maintains a slim profile across most of its body, tapering outward near the camera module to accommodate four image sensors. The setup includes three standard cameras consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultrawide sensor, and a 200-megapixel sensor offering 3x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom. In addition to these cameras, the module houses an event-based vision sensor that powers an image capture feature known as Action Shot.
