Briton Caroline Dubois to face Stephanie Han in unification

British boxer Caroline Dubois will face American Stephanie Han in a lightweight unification bout on 20 February in the United States, as reported by BBC Sport.

Championship Bout in Texas

Dubois, 25, holds the WBC and WBO championships and will travel to the Gecu Arena at the Don Haskins Center in El Paso, Texas, to challenge WBA title holder Han.

The London-born fighter remains undefeated in her professional career with 14 victories and one draw, having unified her titles in April 2026 through a decision win against Terri Harper.

Han, 36, is likewise undefeated with 13 wins and has successfully defended her WBA belt three times, a run featuring two victories over former UFC champion Holly Holm in 2026.

Looking ahead to the upcoming matchup, Dubois expressed eagerness to enter her opponent’s hometown and secure another world title. “I can’t wait to get back in the ring and I can’t wait to go into Stephanie Han’s hometown and add another world title to my collection,” said Dubois.

Dubois acknowledged her opponent’s achievements while emphasizing her own ambitions. “I respect what she’s accomplished, but I’m coming to El Paso to take her title,” she stated, adding that the encounter aligns with her career aspirations. “These are the kinds of fights I’ve been working toward my entire career. I want all the belts, I want the biggest fights, and I want to prove myself against the best.”

Path to an Undisputed Title

The fourth belt in the lightweight division will be contested on Sunday when undefeated IBF champion Elif Nur Turhan meets American Alycia Baumgardner in Texas.

Both Dubois and Baumgardner have expressed interest in fighting one another, raising the possibility of an undisputed contest in 2027 should both athletes win their respective bouts.

The matchup is considered likely as both fighters are signed to Most Valuable Promotions.

Dubois is working toward becoming the fifth Briton to achieve undisputed status in the four-belt era, following Josh Taylor, Chantelle Cameron, Savannah Marshall, and Ellie Scotney.

Baumgardner, who is seven years older than Dubois, is widely considered among the top pound-for-pound boxers, and Dubois previously confronted her rival following an August victory over Amelia Moore.

Dubois confirmed via social media that she will attend ringside to observe the bout between Turkey’s Turhan and Baumgardner, who is moving up from the super-featherweight division.
