Peak Design is expanding its product lineup beyond backpacks and tripods into the realm of phone chargers, stands, batteries, and cables. Founder and CEO Peter Dering stated in a press release that the company aimed to demonstrate how much better everyday charging products could be through thoughtful design choices and premium materials.
New Wireless Chargers and Travel Batteries
The new hardware lineup includes the wireless Kickstand Travel Battery priced at $100, which Peak Design describes as the first Qi2.3-certified wireless charger. Measuring 10.5mm thick with a 5,000mAh capacity, the battery delivers 15W wireless charging when unplugged and up to 5W when plugged in. The built-in stand allows users to mount their phone in both portrait and landscape orientations for MagSafe or PixelSnap compatible devices.
Additionally, the company introduced a $100 2-in-1 wireless charging station constructed from die-cast aluminum and zinc. This station features two Qi 2.2 charging pads offering up to 25W each, alongside a 5V USB-C port designed to power smaller accessories like smartwatches. The unit folds flat for travel and maintains a smaller footprint than comparable multi-device chargers.
Power Adapters and Durable Cables
For simpler charging needs, Peak Design developed the Dual Slim Charger for $65. Utilizing GaN technology, the adapter outputs up to 65W across two USB-C ports while featuring a slim profile of just half an inch thick and fold-flat prongs.
To complement the charging hardware, the company created UltraStrand cables designed to provide exceptional durability and kink resistance. Each cable includes an integrated clip for cable management and is backed by a lifetime guarantee that covers all products in the new lineup. Prices for the cables start at $25 for 60W versions, extending to a $40 option supporting up to 240W for laptops and gaming devices, with lengths varying from 15 centimeters to 2 meters.
All items in the new charging accessory collection are available for order immediately through the official Peak Design website and select retailers, with worldwide availability scheduled for mid-November.
