T-Mobile has officially launched its new T-Mix Saver phone plan, replacing the older Essentials Saver 2.0 option for budget-conscious subscribers.
Pricing and Savings
According to T-Mobile’s updated website, the T-Mix Saver plan is priced at $55 a month for a single line or $100 for two lines without AutoPay, which is the maximum number of lines allowed. Applying the AutoPay discount reduces the monthly cost to $45 for a single line and $80 for two lines. Customers who transfer an existing number from another carrier can get the plan for even less, dropping the price to $30 for one line or $65 for two lines. All stated prices exclude taxes and fees.
Features and Limitations
The budget plan offers zero perks through T-Mobile’s Picks system. Subscribers who want access to entertainment and delivery services like Apple TV or DashPass by DoorDash must upgrade to the Standard plan, which costs $55 per month for a single line or $85 for two lines and includes one or two Picks respectively. Despite lacking the perks, the T-Mix Saver includes 50GB of high-speed data, followed by unlimited data at reduced speeds. It also features unlimited hotspot usage at 3G speeds alongside standard-definition 480p video streaming.
“For a small percentage of customers, all they want is the best 5G network,” said Allan Samson, chief marketing officer at T-Mobile. “For them, we created the simple T-Mix Saver plan with exceptional customer service and all the perks of T-Mobile membership.”
