Manchester United are reportedly monitoring Barcelona left-back Alejandro Balde, as several European clubs prepare for potential January transfer window moves. According to reports cited by BBC Sport, the 23-year-old Spain international could depart the Catalan club.
Potential Defensive and Midfield Moves
If Balde exits Barcelona, it might open an opportunity for the La Liga side to recruit 28-year-old Argentina defender Lisandro Martinez from Manchester United. Meanwhile, Liverpool have put together a shortlist featuring Nottingham Forest’s 24-year-old Brazil defender Murillo and Borussia Dortmund’s 26-year-old Germany centre-back Nico Schlotterbeck to eventually replace 35-year-old Netherlands defender Virgil van Dijk.
Manchester United are considering the sale of 32-year-old Portugal midfielder Bruno Fernandes instead of allowing him to depart for free when his current contract ends next summer. In goal, Real Madrid are monitoring Brighton’s 24-year-old Netherlands goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen as a long-term successor to 34-year-old Belgium stopper Thibaut Courtois.
Forward and Defensive Targets Across Europe
England forward Marcus Rashford, 29, plans to investigate a transfer away from Manchester United if he fails to secure regular playing time following his recovery from injury. Tottenham maintain their interest in Nottingham Forest’s 26-year-old England midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White ahead of a potential January approach.
Both Barcelona and Real Madrid continue to pursue Spain right-back Pedro Porro, remaining undeterred by Tottenham’s valuation of approximately £62m for the 27-year-old. Monaco’s United States striker Folarin Balogun, 25, is another potential January departure, with Manchester United listed among his possible destinations.
Arsenal are facing competition from AC Milan, Aston Villa, and Roma in their pursuit of 20-year-old Brazil forward Endrick from Real Madrid. Additionally, Tottenham, Manchester City, and Manchester United are all monitoring Villarreal’s 22-year-old United States defender Alex Freeman.
