Five Teenagers Seriously Injured in Halloween Party Stabbings

Five teenagers suffered serious injuries after being stabbed during a Halloween gathering at a residential property in Hampshire, according to police statements.

Police Investigation and Witness Accounts

Hampshire Police responded to an address on Park Road in Chandler’s Ford, near Eastleigh, following a call shortly after 22:30 GMT on Saturday. The victims, consisting of three 16-year-old boys and two 17-year-old boys, received emergency treatment at the hospital for their injuries. Investigators believe an unauthorized group forced their way into the party prior to the stabbings. Authorities maintained a police cordon at the location on Sunday to facilitate ongoing inquiries and appealed for witnesses or anyone possessing relevant information to contact them. An eyewitness told BBC News that ambulances and an air ambulance arrived at the scene. Another witness reported seeing an individual flee the property while shouting about being stabbed and pursued by two people.

Community Impact and Local Response

Senior investigating officer Detective Chief Inspector Elizabeth Pirie recognized the distress caused to residents in the area and expressed gratitude for the community’s patience. Local Member of Parliament Liz Jarvis told BBC News on Monday that the locality was experiencing profound shock following the violence, offering her thoughts to the affected families and the broader community. Jarvis also advised the public to remain calm, avoid sharing unverified details online, and allow law enforcement to conduct their work. In response to the incident, two local churches in Chandler’s Ford opened their doors to provide assistance. St Boniface on Hursley Road scheduled opening times from 09:00 to 17:00 throughout the week, while St Martin in the Wood on Queen’s Road opened Monday through Wednesday from 15:00 to 17:00.
