T-Mobile has expanded its home internet offerings by introducing a new Fiber 5 Gig plan priced at $90 a month, which includes a decade-long price guarantee. The pricing relies on AutoPay billing, with taxes and fees applied separately.
Plan Details and Availability
Launching on Nov. 3, the Fiber 5 Gig tier provides matching download and upload speeds, unlimited data usage, and an optional mesh Wi-Fi extender to improve household signal coverage. Beneath this new option, T-Mobile’s previous highest tier was the Fiber 2 Gig plan, which costs $70. For comparison, Google Fiber provides a 3 Gig home service priced at $100 monthly.
As part of its market rollout, T-Mobile is providing a limited-time promotional deal granting two months of service free through two bill credits, alongside $300 in virtual prepaid cards.
Price Guarantee Conditions
The 5 Gig service stands alone as the sole T-Mobile Fiber plan featuring a price guarantee. According to CNET, this introduction arrives shortly after the company settled with the New York Attorney General’s Office regarding a dispute over price guarantees tied to older 4G T-Mobile One plans from nearly ten years ago. The fine print for the new guarantee excludes taxes and fees, voluntary equipment or speed upgrades, select limited-time promotions, per-use charges, third-party services, and network management practices.
