Binance Restores 90% of Funds After $6.3B Hack

Binance has replaced 90 percent of the funds stolen from its customers following a massive $6.3 billion cryptocurrency breach, according to the company’s chief executive. The exchange plans to fully compensate affected users by absorbing the remaining 10 percent of the lost assets directly.

Withdrawal Services Scheduled to Reopen

The exchange explained that the unreplaced portion consists of less liquid tokens, which may require additional time to acquire. While withdrawal services remain temporarily paused, Binance stated that user withdrawals are scheduled to reopen on Sunday, November 1, 2026, as reported by The Verge.

In a social media statement posted on X, Binance reiterated its commitment to covering all financial losses stemming from the security incident. “Our commitment remains the same: Binance will fully cover the financial impact of the funds stolen in this incident. We will continue to demonstrate this commitment through measurable progress, transparent reporting, and concrete actions,” the company stated.

Binance noted that its immediate focus is restoring account access and functionality for its user base. “Our next milestone in focus is resuming the withdrawal services for users. We remain on track to reopen withdrawals within our previously stated timeframe (on Sunday, 2026-11-01) and will provide a further update as soon as details are confirmed,” the statement concluded.
