To activate data for the first time on a T-Mobile device, users need to make sure their device is set up properly first. Just find the “settings” section of a device, then make sure that Wi-Fi us turned on, as well as mobile or cellular data. Once that’s done, just go to the data activation page and login to a T-Mobile account (or set up a new one). Once mobile data and Wi-Fi data are activated on a device, it’s automatically logged in to the mobile network.

T-Mobile’s 4G LTE network covers most of the United States, and the parts that aren’t 4G do have at least 3G coverage. In fact, T-Mobile is well known for their unlimited data usage promotions, with absolutely no cap on how much data can be used every month.

With more than 200 million customers, T-Mobile is one of the world’s largest wireless providers, coming in at 4th largest. T-Mobile has a presence in more than a dozen European countries, along with all of North America. Ultimately owned by Germany’s Deutsche Telekom AG corporation, T-Mobile was founded in 1990 and now has their headquarters in Bonn, Germany.

T-Mobile US began trading on the United States stock market on May 1, 2013, their first day on the market as a publicly operated company.
