Lowe’s Protection Plans

  • Lowe’s Protection Plans are designed for shoppers to have protection for their purchases after the manufacturer’s warranty expires
  • Most manufacturer’s warranties expire after one year, but additional protection from Lowe’s adds an extra one to two years
  • A Lowe’s plan protects against the normal things a warranty would, but also adds product protection against normal wear and tear, surge protection, and “no lemon” protection

To help provide a little more peace of mind, customers who buy something at a Lowe’s store (less than $200) can purchase an additional protection plan that goes beyond what a normal manufacturer’s warranty would cover. When customers buy a Lowe’s Protection Plan, Lowe’s  will make repairs on the product covered (including both electrical or mechanical failure) at no additional cost to the customer. Any product repaired under a Lowe’s plan will be repaired by a Lowe’s authorized technician for the entire life of the plan.

Customers have up to 30 days from the date of their purchase to add additional protection from Lowe’s. A Lowe’s protection plan is transferable from one person to another if the product is sold, and there are no additional or hidden fees to do this. An additional protection plan from Lowe’s doesn’t cover accidental damage or outright abuse of a product, it doesn’t cover what’s considered to be routine maintenance and “consumable” products.

Is registering a Lowe’s Product Protection Plan required?

It’s not mandatory to register a Lowe’s protection plan online, but it is recommended.If customers don’t have their original receipt, registering their Lowe’s protection plan online makes filing a claim much easier.

www.vzw.com/switchplan – Switch Verizon Wireless Plan Online

VZW Switch Plan

  • Current Verizon Wireless customer can access their account online to switch their current plan
  • To access an account the customer will have to provide their VZW wireless phone number or their User ID
  • Customers are allowed to upgrade a plan or downgrade a plan depending on their preference

The VZW Switch Plan is open to all Verizon Customers (assuming they are not locked into a contract) and customers that are switching a plan should make sure they pick a size with enough data to share between all devices on the given VZW account.

VZW Switch Plan Comments

  • A default plan size will be selected for the customers based on the number of devices on associated with their VZW account and the average amount of data they use
  • Customers are NOT required to select the default plan size
  • The Verizon Wireless Data Calculator will help them pick the VZW plan that is right for them
  • Customers will be able to pick the exact date of when the new plan will go into effect
  • To select a different date than the one recommended, click Change Effective Date?, select a new date and click Confirm
  • VZW customer who currently have a MORE Everything Plan or a Nationwide plan are allowed to change the amount of minutes or data without actually having to change their plan
  • Customers can view up to 18 months of recent bills to help determine how much data and minutes they have used in the past

Please note that the customers upgrade eligibility and the contract end date will not change when selecting a new Verizon Wireless Plan.  Verizon will not charge the customer to make a plan change BUT the new plan may cost more than the old one (i.e. the new plan may feature more minutes, messages and data).  Any questions in regards to the VZW Switch Plan service can be directed to a Verizon Wireless customer call center at (800) 922-0204.

123 Rewards Card

  • For every $1 spent on the Kroger family of brands, customers with a 123 Rewards card get 3 rewards points. A purchase in a Kroger store nets 2 points per $1, and every other purchase still gets 1 point per $1

How are Rewards Points from the 123 Visa card spent?

Every 1,000 in 123 Rewards points gets the customer a $5 certificate that can be used at any one of the Kroger family of stores. There is no limit to the number of points a customer can earn with their 123 Visa, and no limit to the number of Kroger $5 certificates they can earn. These certificated expire one year from the date they are issued. Points with the 123 Visa can be earned anywhere, but they can only be redeemed at Kroger family stores (like Smith, Fred Meyer, and Food Co).

www.nordstrombanking.com – Access Nordstrom Banking Online

Nordstrom Banking

  • Access a Nordstrom bank account online (this includes CD-Online Access)
  • Nordstrom Bank is a trade name of Nordstrom fsb, a wholly owned subsidiary of Nordstrom, Inc.
  • Currently 18 month CD’s are yielding 1.25%

The Nordstrom Banking service is free to use for all current customers and requires a username in order to gain access.  Customers new to the Nordstrom online banking service will have to go through a bothersome registration process and provide their name, DOB, address, email, and phone numbers.  The good news is the registration process should only take a few minutes to complete and once registered customers can pay bills online.

What type of CD’s are offered by Nordstrom Banking?

  1. Automatically renewable CDs
  2. CDs that do not automatically renew

Consumers who elect option 2 will not have the CD automatically renewed and no interest will be earned after its stated maturity date.  Consumers who elect CD option number 1 will have the CD is automatically renew and it will renew at each maturity date for a period of time equal to the original term of, and on the same terms and conditions as, the original CD.  No matter what option is elected the customer will receive a mailing when a upcoming maturity date is close.  Please note the minimum amount to open a CD with Nordstrom Bank is $1000 and a penalty for early withdraw is imposed if the CD holder withdraws any of the principal before the maturity date.

www.ncridersurvey.com – Take NC Motorcycle Rider Survey Online

NC Rider Survey

To start the survey the rider will need the Survey Invitation Code and Internet connection (it does not appear that the NC Rider Survey can be taken over the phone).  Please note the survey code can be located on the bottom right corner of the invitation letter received via US mail.  The NC Rider Survey invite code can only be used once and those who do not have the code will not be able to provide feedback and will not be able to help rider safety.
