Garbage Man vs Media Career?

Choosing a career path can be a tough decision, and you have weigh your options extensively before settling on what you want to do with your life. So, if you eventually decide that you want to be hated by the general public, the media would be the way to go! Media coverage acts as a catalyst for spreading fear in society.

Their job is to let you know who got murdered, and when, and how many people were beaten by cops, and what Brad Pitt had for lunch. You may think I sound like a conspiracy theorizing, anti- government nut by say that, but there is an actual saying in journalism: “If it bleeds, it leads.”

Now, if you decide that you would like to do some good in your community, and not be loathed by an entire region of the country, then why not become a garbage man? People love garbage men, for one main reason: they get to ride on the back of a truck. But another reason they are liked, is because they are really taking one for the team! These guys are taking away your used napkins, your broken housewares, your credit card information, and that thing that you found in the fridge that started talking one day! And they do it without complaint. They are just happy to be keeping the streets a cleaner place!
Important side note to consider: You don’t have to go to college to become a garbage man. I just saved you thousands of dollars. You’re welcome!

So in the end, just ask yourself one question: what do you want that shower to represent after a long day? Do you want to be washing off actual dirt, or do you want to be scrubbing off the shame? Just so you know, shame never completely goes away.

Is Venus Williams A Cry Baby? Snubs The Media After French Open Loss

On Monday, Venus Williams exited in the first round of the French Open after losing to fellow countrywoman, Sloane Stephens. This is the second time Venus has failed to get past this stage in the last three years. It was also the fifth time in the last thirteen Grand Slam competitions she’s participated that she has been sent home in the first round. Williams subsequently failed to show up for the mandatory news conference which means that she faces a fine.

As it happened

The match was touted as a Tuesday’s must-watch especially for the American fans. It started brightly with the two competitors exchanging booming groundstrokes on the court and producing a flurry of winners in the first set. At the end of the round, Stephens, ranked at no. 40 emerged the winner late in the set.

In the second set, Williams made 30 unforced errors compared to Stephens’ 14, allowing her younger compatriot to prevail in the set as well. The match ended in 90 minutes.

Key statistics of the match

Stephens won 76 percent of the first-serve points which was higher than Williams’ 63 percent. Stephens also belted 22 winners to the 21 by Williams. Overall, Stephens committed 19 errors compared to 30 by Venus. This was the first time the two have met in their careers. Stephens has now made it to the fourth round of the French Open for the last three consecutive years. On the other hand, Venus was the oldest player in the tournament at 34.

Venus snubs the media

It was obvious that Venus was disappointed after the loss, but few expected her to leave Roland Garros without addressing the media as is the norm. Instead of sitting for the mandatory press conference, Venus issued a five-sentence statement later on addressing her disappointment at leaving the tournament that early. A majority of the pundits have questioned her decision terming it as the most disappointing thing expected from a player hailed as the game’s great ambassador and an elder stateswoman. Besides, she had fought pretty hard especially in the first set with only a few mistakes in the second to blame for her loss.

Expectedly, the action is expected to earn her a fine although it will hardly be an amount enough put a dent in her otherwise humongous wallet.

Stephens’ reactions

Despite garnering the big win against Williams, Stephens emphasized after the match that she was not much concerned about the win and was aiming to proceed further into the tournament. She now joins Lindsay Davenport as the only two Americans to have beaten both Williams having defeated Serena in the 2013 Australian Open.

Why The Media Is Worse Than Lyme Disease

The mass media these days is an absolute joke, quite frankly it’s embarrassing. Our media is filled with useless news that nobody cares about and they simply dump their pathetic opinions onto us. All they do is grab a story and beat the hell out of it until it is pretty much dead, they don’t deliver any “news”. There are some exceptions, but they are very rare and are always followed by a long story about some pointless celebrity’s new TV show. They don’t care about what is really happening out there, they just want to fill up our minds with complete pointless nonsense.

Even when there is real news they can’t actually share all of it with us. They completely manipulate it into their own way of thinking by twisting words making people sound different. It is hard to believe they actually think so many people enjoy listening to their twisted lies. I mean who cares about Brad Pitt sunbathing at Daytona beach or David Beckham drinking a glass of wine in his mansion? Look at the state of some of these photographers trying to climb over barbed wire fences to get into Beckham’s garden and take pictures of them while they try enjoy some privacy. They even take pictures of the kids while they play in the swimming pool, I mean what can get more creepy than that?

It’s about time we brought the old news back and got the information that really matters. We are fed up listening to this pointless garbage and want to hear about the real world. Take some of the newspaper headlines for example. While there was a war going on in Afghanistan the main cover for the Newsweek magazine was about some journalist filming Angelina Jolie. Seriously? Come on, Where is the logic in that? WE DON’T CARE.
